Not all damselfish are created equal. They generally fall into three behavioral categories: The "Good" Damsels (Manageable Aggression) damselfish

( Dascyllus species): Hardy and active, but known to dominate rock formations aggressively as they mature. The "Avoid" List (Highly Aggressive)

Avoid these in standard community reefs. They often start out adorable as juveniles but turn into absolute terrors as adults.
