The episode follows the immediate aftermath of Goku and Android 17's sparring match. Their conversation is interrupted by a giant spacecraft belonging to who arrive to abduct the rare animals on Monster Island, specifically the legendary Minotaurus.
Inside the ship, Goku handles the poacher's henchmen while 17 confronts the leader. The leader attempts to self-destruct his ship to kill everyone, but Goku uses Instant Transmission to teleport the leader to King Kai's planet (a callback to the Cell Games) before realizing the bomb was a fake intended only as a distraction.
