During installation, the "Free" version sometimes includes optional software offers (often called "PUPs" or Potentially Unwanted Programs). Be careful to deselect these during setup if you don't want them.

PDFCreator is a virtual printer for Windows. Instead of printing to paper, you "print" your document (Word, Excel, images, etc.) to this virtual device, which then converts it into a PDF.
