The victim had been playing with blue slime, and some of it was left on Stanga during the struggle, according to Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons.
Sheriff Simmons described Stanga as having an "extensive" criminal history, including previous offenses involving children.
Stanga was charged with attempted kidnapping of a child under 13, aggravated assault with a weapon, and simple battery. In March 2023, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison, followed by probation. Other Details:
