In this episode, the original Atlantis expedition team defies orders from Stargate Command to retake the city from the (Replicators). After the Ancients who reclaimed the city were killed, Major General Jack O'Neill and Richard Woolsey remained trapped in a remote section of the city while awaiting a potential nuclear strike ordered by SGC to prevent a Replicator foothold.
