Željko Joksimović is one of the most prominent musicians and composers in the Balkans, known as the "Master of the Balkan Ballads". His discography spans over three decades, characterized by a sophisticated blend of pop, ethnic folk, and cinematic orchestral elements.

Joksimović's solo career took off in the late 1990s, producing a series of commercially successful albums primarily through City Records and his own label, Minacord.
